When structural rot takes hold, a quick cosmetic patch just won’t cut it. For this shed in Westborough, we got right down to the root of the problem by stripping away the compromised exterior sheathing to inspect and expose the damage underneath.
We cut out the rotted framing and rebuilt the lower structure using rot-resistant pressure-treated lumber for maximum durability against future moisture. With solid, sturdy studs back in place, we installed fresh exterior sheathing to fully enclose and weather-seal the structure. Everything is now structurally sound, sealed up tight for the winter, and primed for a fresh coat of paint come spring.
