High-traffic basement entries need to be safe, smooth, and secure—and this project was all about eliminating safety risks. The original steps had become hazardous over time, and a misaligned, ill-fitting door made getting in and out a constant frustration.
I completely overhauled the access point by building a sturdy set of new interior steps and constructing a solid, level landing to ensure safe footing. Replaced the old door with a properly fitted unit that closes, seals, and latches smoothly. Now, the basement has a safe, comfortable, and fully functional entry that gives the homeowner complete peace of mind.
